Position Objectives:

Establishes and maintains mutually beneficial business relationships, resulting in client and customer satisfaction, account retention, and future business growth plans. The Business Development (DB) is responsible for identifying industry-specific leads, generating a pool of prospects, booking sales-qualified appointments, and closing the deal. The DB will manage the organization's business development efforts, make the business case, and be solely dedicated to producing results to position JAG as one of the top boutique consulting firms in the U.S. Retail Industry.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop goals, objectives, and priorities for the lead generation efforts in partnership with the leadership team.

  • Identify and develop new marketing tools, promotions, and strategies that exceed client expectations and retain business.

  • Develop sales objectives and call plans to support annual budgets and business priorities.

  • Generate high-quality leads and work to convert prospects to wins.

  • Manage the business development pipeline to include working projects assigned to the team.

  • Attend and participate in trade shows and conferences to generate leads and establish relationships with industry leaders.

  • Manage the Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Proposals (RFP) processes to ensure timely and accurate responses that align with JAG's value proposition and branding.

  • Identify and develop new marketing tools, promotions, and strategies that exceed client expectations and retain business.

  • Establish relationships with industry leaders to gain insight into the challenges and opportunities within those industries and seek ways to participate in related discussions.

  • Prepare and deliver professional sales proposals with cost-effective ideas that align with customer requests and needs.

  • Act in the company's best interest by applying stated corporate values and priorities to all communications, decisions, and actions.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing roles with a proven track record of success.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to establish strong client relations at various levels of an organization.

  • Business-savvy and an opportunity seeker.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to develop innovative strategies and best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong software skills, including proficiency in Google Workplace, Microsoft Office, or MAC equivalent, and Canva.
